Allan Jones will be exhibiting this beautiful 1991 Jaguar Sovereign H.E V12 saloon. It has done 41000 miles and is one of the last series 111 Jaguars. The vehicle condition is just as it left the factory at Browns Lane Coventry, British racing green in colour with unmarked light tan leather interior. The v12 engine was used in this car and also the last of the E-types; production of the V12 engine was discontinued a few years later.

We are pleased to welcome to the 2011 show the Abingdon Works Centre of the MG Car Club. The Club has its origins in the Works Auto Club of the MG car factory located in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, from 1929 until it was closed by British Leyland in 1980. The MG Car Club, formed in 1930 and with its headquarters still in Abingdon, is made up of several geographical Centres covering the UK and, with the closure of the factory, the AWC was centred around Abingdon covering Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Hampshire and currently has over 1400 members. Although it is the newest UK Centre, it has the significant responsibility of covering what, for most, is accepted as the spiritual home of MG. Consequently many events organised by the Centre are featured around the MG Abingdon history. For example, the annual Old Speckled Hen Tour commemorates the association between MG and the Abingdon brewer Morlands (now part of Greene King in East Anglia) who brewed Old Speckled Hen in 1979 as a tribute to the MG factory and the golden jubilee.
Many thanks to Club Chairman Richard Martin who provided us with the infomation about the Club and the lovely pictures below.

"M886RWL was delivered brand new to Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service in August 1994 and based at Gerrards Cross fire station covering the busy motorway intersections between the M25, M40 and M4, where it responded to 100 traffic accidents per year. Whilst at Gerrards Cross, the fire appliance was featured in a childrens' book about the fire service, titled "firefighters - a first word and pictures book", published by Campbell Books in 1994. It's main claim to fame came, however, came in February 1995, when an ITV camera crew followed the vehicle and it's crew for a month to film for the award winning emergency services documentary series "Blues & Twos" where it was seen attending four calls including a major fire involving acetylene cylinders at a large waste disposal plant in neighbouring Berkshire. After Gerrards Cross, the engine moved in 1996 to Buckingham fire station for 6 years seeing action in the major flood relief operations in the town in April 1998. It's final home was the retained fire station at Chesham before it was sold by the brigade in 2007 and entered preservation with it's current owner."
