4x4 Cross Country Shuttle to Silverstone Grand Prix
4th-6th July 2008
Welcome to Turweston Aerodrome, home of the 4x4 cross-country shuttle to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Our overland route takes you straight across country to the Circuit, dropping off and collecting at Pedestrian Gate 15 which is at Vale Corner.
Guests using our service can fly or drive into Turweston Aerodrome, park their car or aircraft, and either rendezvous with friends or colleagues, hop straight aboard a shuttle vehicle to the Circuit or enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the airfield café before making their way across.
Renault UK is our 2008 vehicle sponsor, ensuring the journey to the circuit will be in a comfortable and spacious atmosphere in Renault’s first-ever 4X4 crossover, New Koleos. Boasting genuine off-road ability combined with the comfort levels of a hatchback and cabin space worthy of an MPV, New Koleos goes on sale in the UK on 4th July – just in time for the Grand Prix! For more information please visit www.koleos.renault.co.uk.
Those passengers going to corporate hospitality inside the Circuit can book a place on our ‘In-Circuit’ service, which collects from just inside Gate 15 and goes direct to the required hospitality suite. Some 4x4 times are already fully booked so be sure to let us know if passengers need to be at the Circuit by a specific time.
A combination of external factors has led to us having to slightly increase our prices this year. If you would like more information about the service please give us a ring on 01280 705400 and speak to Tanya Coles or Tracey Hatton . For those of you seeking corporate hospitality at the airfield we can arrange a range of options to suit your needs, including reception area and catering.
For more information about the 4x4 shuttle, including hours of operation and directions to the Aerodrome avoiding the Grand Prix traffic, please click here.
Pilots: please note we have special joining and landing procedures for GP Sunday. Click here to view. Our operating hours for Saturday and Sunday are relaxed so we can have movements from 08.00 until 20.00 on Saturday and 07.00 until 21.00 on Sunday (local times). Obviously we ask that you still extend every courtesy to our neighbours and avoid overflying the local villages and surrounding properties.
